As much as I complain about how much work Christmas is for me, I just can’t contain myself once someone busts out the tinsel. So when Myer asked me to come to the opening of their Christmas Giftorium in Sydney, I tried to be all cool and mature about it. However inner me was going; Oh my yes, can I come right now? Can I, Can I huh??
Tomorrow Myer will kick off their weekend events celebrating the Christmas Giftorium. In Sydney Guy Sebastian will perform in Pitt Street Mall, and in Melbourne Jennifer Hawkins will unveil the Christmas windows, followed by a performance from Harrison Craig from the Voice. Myer plans to schedule in activities for the weekends leading up to Christmas in the Giftorium, check them out in store for the when & what. When you walk into the Sydney Giftorium you won’t be able to suppress a smile, it’s beautiful, glitter everywhere! My kids were beside themselves with happy.
Inside the Giftorium you’ll find some exclusive shopping is to be had. Marvin’s Magic kits are now available only from Myer, and you can catch demonstrations from their trained magic specialists. Mr Men and Little Miss customised prints, get your own Little Miss name print! I love mine, thanks again Myer. Vistaprint have also opened their very first retail space, where you can go and physically check out their products and order them on the spot. There is also Plumm glassware, Dilmah Teas and Sodastream PLAY.
The Giftorium gifticians (yes a giftician is so a thing, I don the title every year at my house), can be booked if you want to avoid queues when you need help with your gift choices, or use the new iPad ordering system. Elf delivery is possible if you live or work in the CBD, and I think having elves turn up bearing gifts to your work Christmas party is a great idea. You can also book online to meet Santa, again helping you dodge the busy shopping rush. Also from tomorrow you will find the Myer Treat Street in the Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth stores. This means roving assistants will give you lollies! Yeah, I know right? And Myers awesome community partnerships continue this year, and the Salvation Army will benefit again this year from the Power Of Give christmas campaign, and you can donate directly to it in store while shopping.
Now for my social media addict friends, here is some fun for you. Use the hashtag #giftorium on your instagram shots you’ve taken while shopping, and they will appear on a huge digital screen window in the Sydney City store. You know you want to.
